We are planning on having a much bigger range of foodie experiences at this year's event - watch this space for details. Meanwhile we are pleased to announce that Te Mania and Richmond Plains are the official wine suppliers for MARCHFeST 2010. Here are the wines that will be available at Marchfest:
Te Mania Riesling 2009
Fragrant honeysuckle and citrus/lime aromas. Rich lime and citrus fruit flavours plus some delicious honey notes with a mineral background and long, fresh finish. 4 stars - Cuisine
Te Mania Sauvignon Blanc 2009
A mouth-filling palate showing delicious citrus, gooseberry, green apple and tropical fruit flavours with typical minerally edge. Rich and concentrated, the mid-palate shows genuine breadth and the overall impression remains clean, ripe and fresh. Silver Medal at the NZ International Wine Show
Te Mania Pinot Gris 2009
Fruity aromas of pear and baked apple with savoury ginger and spice notes. Concentrated round wine with a soft lush texture and a smooth, long lingering finish. Silver Medal at the Royal New Zealand Show.
Richmond Plains Organic Blanc de Noir
Aromatic wine with citrus blossom and green pear on the nose. The palate is full and fruity with green pears and baked apple, peach and nectarines. It has very attractive tropical and lime blossom characters backed with soft acids and an exotic finish. Made from red Pinot Noir grapes this exciting New Zealand white wine is unique to Richmond Plains.
Te Mania Three Brothers 2008 ( Merlot / Malbec / Cabernet )
A smooth, easy drinking Bordeaux style red wine. Vibrant blackberry and blackcurrant flavours combined with fine tannins, subtle oak and spicy, berry fruit aromas. 3.5 stars - Tizwine
Te Mania Syrah 2008
A stylish cool climate Shiraz wine with delicious dark berry fruit favours, spicy/peppery notes and a long finish. 4 stars - Tizwine
Richmond Plains Organic Pinot Noir Red cherry and dark berry flavours with
some earthy forest floor and spicy notes. A well structured, fruity
Pinot Noir with a lovely lingering finish.
