Meads' Steamer Hazy IPA

Hazy IPA - 5.9%

Shining Peak Brewing / New Plymouth

Meads' Steamer is brewed with light malts, oats and

wheat to give a soft mouthfeel. The hop character is fresh and punchy with notes of Pineapple, Peach and

Kumquat. Named after the SS Wanaka, a beast of a steamer - weighing in at 277 tonnes. Helmed by the renowned Capt. James Meads, the steamer regularly travelled between Onehunga and New Plymouth. In a twist of foolish irony, the Wanaka was to meet its demise on a hazy morning - 1st April, 1891.
