Paikaka

NZ Heritage Ale - 5.6%

The Mussel Inn / Onekaka, Golden Bay

A native herb ale reminiscent of early beers created in

Aotearoa known as "Paikaka". Flavoured with a pleasing

selection of native herbs including Kumarahou, a

traditional Maori healing herb which was used as a hop

substitute in the 1800s, harvested from Great Barrier

Island. Also added to the mix is Kawakawa and the old

favourite, Manuka, from Golden Bay.
