Interested in how beer is made? Swing by the Brew Zone at The Stables, where some dedicated home brewers will be making a batch of beer from scratch. Ask them questions and learn how easy it is to make your own beer. A place to take the weight off your feet and enjoy the sights and smells of beer in the making.

This year, as well as the local home brewers, the Brew Zone will be host to three brewing celebrities from the United States, all brewing on Grainfather systems. Gordon Strong has won the US national home-brew competition three times in a row, Marshall Schott runs the highly successful Brülosophy blog, and Michael Tonsmeire is an expert in the brewing of sour beers. Gordon, Marshall and Michael are all here as part of the New Zealand Home-brewers' Conference and will be brewing live on stage.

The Brew Zone is also hosting some "Ask Me Anything" sessions, where you can pose your brewing questions to our panel of US experts and any other friendly craft brewer who happens to be around. A range of home-brew suppliers will also be present for you to learn about available products. And of course some Marchfest beers will be available on the Stables satellite bar if you are too busy to get over to the Main Bar!
