• On the day you can purchase tickets from the venue, Founders Heritage Park at the dedicated "GATE SALES" booth, outside the Windmill, Atawhai Dr from 12.00pm (if not sold out prior to the event)

What is included with your MarchFest ticket?
Purchasing an entry ticket to MarchFest in 2019 includes – entry to Founders Heritage Park, a MarchFest souvenir beer or wine glass, access to all the new specially crafted beers, all live music acts, entry to the Brew Zone and Kids Zone and a wide selection of food stalls to choose from. 
All drinks and food must be purchased with MarchFest tokens. The Gourmet Food and Beer Matching Lunch is offered at an extra cost each year, this event is an additional cost to your entry ticket.
Token Information
MarchFest money is in the form of tokens. This is what you will buy your beer and food with at MarchFest.  Tokens can be purchased with cash, Eftpos or Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard), and PayWave will be available. There is also an option to pre-purchase tokens when you book online. 1 drink/food token costs $2, you can purchase these at the TOKEN BOOTH near the Windmill. A roving token salesperson may also be available (subject to weather conditions), so keep an eye out for them.

Please Note: Unused 2019 tokens can be exchanged for cash up until 10 pm on the day at the Token Booth.
Tokens may also be used at The Free House Pub for drinks until March 23rd 2019. No refunds or cash up given at The Free House Pub.
Souvenir Glass
 * Dishwasher Info: MarchFest souvenir beer glass branding is kiln baked to 580c but because the glasses are “heat treated” the branding company cure them to 140c. According to the ink specs, the branding should last a minimum of 100 washes, depending on the cycle of the dishwasher and how caustic the detergent is. In summary, they should be pretty good
Event Day
Venue: Set in the beautiful traffic-free environment of Founders Heritage Park, it is the ideal venue to celebrate Nelson Tasman’s hip harvest hop festival. ​​​​​ Click here for venue information.

  1. Doors open from midday on Saturday 9 March via the Windmill Entrance of Founders Heritage Park, Atawhai Drive.
  2. ‘Beer & Food Matching Lunch’ tickets entrance will be through the side gate next to the Windmill on Atawhai Drive.
  3. If you have pre-purchased a ticket, please look out for the "Ticket Sales" sign and queue.  Gate sales are outside the Windmill.
  4. Upon entry you will be asked for your ticket, this can either be a paper ticket or you can show it on your phone
  5. All ticket holders over 18 years will be given a wristband and event staff may ask you for I.D. 
  6. Proper identification is the responsibility of the attendee. Failure to present proper, valid photo identification (license or passport) will result in denial of entry with no refund offered
  7. Pre-purchased tokens will be issued at the time of entry in the windmill.
  8. Security will be checking bags
  9. You may bring in a picnic chair or blanket
  10. Please do not bring any food or drinks with you, there's heaps of free fresh water on site and you can bring in an empty water bottle with you

Terms & Conditions
  • In the event of an industrial disruption, or other unforeseen circumstances that disrupt the event, the event organisers accept no responsibility.
  • The information on the event website and in the printed collateral is correct at the time of publication.
  • however, the event organisers reserve the right to change information.
  • The event organisers disclaim any and all liability to any person in respect of the consequences of any failure to operate, accident or injury which may occur on services reserved and ticketed by On-Cue or where operator error or accident is the cause.
Booking Conditions
  • MarchFest will take place regardless of the weather (within reason).
  • Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or caregiver.
  • The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute artists and vary the advertised programme.
  • No glass bottles, cans or alcohol of any kind may be brought into this event.
  • I.D. may be required to be shown to prove a ticket-holder is over 18.
  • All bags/containers brought into the event may be subject to a full search.
  • Intoxicated persons will not be served alcohol and will be required to leave the event.
  • purchase of this ticket automatically grants permission to official event photographers to take event photographs that may feature the image of the ticket holder. Photographic rights will be retained by MarchFest Ltd and the images may be used for future marketing of MarchFest.
  • No animals permitted at the venue.
  • The right of admission is reserved.
  • This ticket is non-refundable.
  • If you make a group booking, everyone in the group must enter the venue at the same time along with the ticket holder.
All credit card transactions are processed via a secure online transaction gateway. Your credit card details are encrypted for processing. This ensures that your credit card information is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorized users. We never store your credit card information.


MarchFest has received sponsorship funding for this year’s event from the Nelson Events Marketing & Development Programme, which is funded by the Nelson City Council. The Programme’s objective is to stimulate Nelson City’s economy in the shoulder and off seasons by bringing new spending through visitors coming to Nelson for distinct events.
