Join the Crew in 2024

Marchfest is a real community event; it is a great celebration of the hop harvest here in Nelson and would not be possible without the time and ongoing support that is invested by its volunteers.

 

This year we are looking for both volunteers and paid crew to help with:

  • Selling Marchfest tickets at the Gate Sales booth

  • Selling Marchfest tokens

  • Pouring beer/wine/cider at the various bars (must be over 18 years)

  • Bar Managers

  • Waste management

  • Kids Zone supervisors

  • Merchandise retail

  • Welcoming guests to the park

  • General Event Help

  • We will also need crew on set up & pack down days (Friday & Sunday)

 

Shifts are first in first served, so be in quick to make sure you get your preferred one!

We run two shift options on the day:

Shift 1 | 12:00pm - 4:30pm  

Shift 2 | 4:00pm - 9:00pm

Plus we need Bar Managers to work full day shifts | all paid positions

 

Here’s what you get:

  • Complimentary Entry to Marchfest before/after your volunteer shift (please note that you may NOT consume any alcoholic beverages prior to your shift starting)

  • Souvenir Marchfest Crew t-Shirt and Marchfest glass (Beer or wine)

  • Marchfest tokens to spend on beer/food (value of $20 or 2 standard beers). 

  • Spend the day being part of the best little beer festival in NZ!

We are currently also taking volunteer enquiries for interested groups (sports teams, work clubs etc), who would like to use Marchfest as a fundraising opportunity for their club, contact the Marchfest Team here to enquire.

All volunteers must attend the pre-event briefing. This will be at 5.30 pm Thursday 4th April 2024, at Founders Park in The Granary.
