Hoody Time is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist bringing together old school and new wave hip hop, dance music and heavy hitting rock stylings. Based in Nelson, Hoody began in Cincinnati, USA holding DJ residencies at top clubs and providing midwest support on many national tours including support for twenty one pilots, Tory Lanez, Krewella, AWOLNATION, Mike Stud, Aer, Stafford Brothers, and many more. After a few years of recording and performing in the US, Hoody took his operation to New Zealand in 2017 and has completed 3 nation-wide tours to date including several summer festivals (Bay Dreams, Mudtopia, Marchfest, Nelson City NYE Countdown) and notable performances with DJ Sliink, Savage, Madchild & P-Money. Hoody boasts an impressive climb up the charts with 2018 releases into the NZ iTunes charts (including a #1 debut with “Pucho” and another Top 10 with “Paris”), charting worldwide on Beatport and Clubtone (“Now We Go Deep” reached #1 on both) and holding placement on numerous Spotify playlists (Fresh Electronic, New Music Fridays) With "ALL BANGERS, ALL 2019" Hoody has pledged and landed releases on Spotify’s “The Drip” playlist as well as gaining continued support from Canadian mega-blog MONTREALITY and NZ’s biggest online publication, STUFF. 2020 came with a creative upturn with the release of “Lost + Found” and the collaborative project launch with live-looping guitarist Bosho. The debut single and video “TRUTH” has clocked nearly 200,000 views. Known for his energetic and memorable performances, Hoody has already garnered support from hip hop legends like Talib Kweli and dance music greats such as Robin Schulz, Bingo Players & Dannic as well as support from I See Stars, Jack Novak and others.
